HARIOM SINGHDevOps Engineer Portfolio

I'm Hariom Singh, a DevOps & Cloud Engineer and Project Engineering Lead at Saarthix. I hosted and run the whole Saarthix platform on my own: edge, load balancers, API gateways, Kubernetes, CI/CD and observability. I built it to be reliable and to cost as little as possible.

02 · git push origin main

From commit to production.

Every push runs through a pipeline: lint, test, scan, build, push, deploy, verify. It rolls back automatically if anything fails. Press the button to run it.

03 · aws ce get-cost-and-usage

Production-grade, startup budget.

I kept monthly spend as low as possible without dropping reliability. These are the main areas I optimized.

MONTHLY INFRA COST SAVED
  • 01Right-sized compute, with ARM/Graviton and spot capacity where it fits
  • 02Self-hosted Nginx/Kong gateway instead of paid managed gateways
  • 03CDN caching at the edge, which cut origin egress
  • 04Container bin-packing and autoscaling down to the floor
  • 05Self-managed open-source observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
  • 06Tags and budgets with alerts, so cost is tracked like any other SLO
04 · helm list --all-namespaces

The Saarthix journey.

From the first commit to a production platform run by one person, in six steps.

STEP 01

Build

Spring Boot microservices and a React frontend, built with deployment in mind from day one.

Java · React · Git
STEP 02

Containerize

Multi-stage Docker images and one compose file, so every environment is identical.

Docker · Compose
STEP 03

Automate

Terraform for the infrastructure and a CI/CD pipeline that tests, scans and ships on every push.

Terraform · Actions
STEP 04

Expose

CDN + WAF at the edge, an L7 load balancer, and an API gateway as the single front door.

CDN · Nginx · Kong
STEP 05

Orchestrate

Kubernetes with autoscaling, self-healing pods and Prometheus/Grafana on everything.

K8s · Helm · Grafana
STEP 06

Harden & Optimize

Least-privilege IAM, secrets in Vault, ARM/spot compute: secure, at the lowest possible cost.

IAM · Vault · FinOps
07 · git checkout -b devops

From shipping features
to running the platform.

I started out writing the product. Then I took over everything it runs on. Now I want to do that full time, building platforms that are secure, observable, automated and cheap to run.

Project Engineer Lead

@ Saarthix · now
  • Led full-stack product engineering (Spring Boot + React)
  • Owned the architecture and technical decisions
  • Mentored the team, ran sprints and code reviews
  • Took the product from idea to production

DevOps / Cloud / SRE

  • Hosted and run the entire Saarthix production stack
  • Load balancers, API gateways, reverse proxies, TLS
  • CI/CD pipelines with security scanning built in
  • Observability, incident response, cost engineering
01

🛡️ DevSecOps

CI/CD with security built in: scanning containers, secrets and Kubernetes, tuning the WAF, IAM governance and compliance guardrails.

02

☁️ Cloud Engineering

Secure, low-cost cloud environments on AWS and GCP: landing zones, networking, IAM, migrations and right-sizing compute.

03

📈 Site Reliability

Keeping systems up with Kubernetes, observability stacks, incident handling, root cause analysis and automation that removes repetitive work.

04

🤖 Infra Automation

Terraform, Ansible playbooks and Bash, Go and Python tooling that turn manual ops work into one command.

08 · kubectl apply -f hire-me.yaml

Let's build
something reliable.

I'm open to DevOps, Cloud, SRE and Platform Engineering roles where reliability, security and automation matter.
